Make sure to mark your calendars, the 4th annual Ka'u Coffee Festival is Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 9am to 4pm at the Pahala Community Center in Pahala, Hawai'i. Join us for a fun filled weekend of coffee from the SCAA #1 Coffee Growing Region in the US!
If you are interested in learning more about the coffee buisness, join us for Ka'u Coffee College on Sunday, May 13, 2012, from 9am to 12pm at the Pahala Community Center.

Mahalo to all the Ka'u Coffee farmers, our supporters, and everyone who joined us for the 2011 Ka'u Coffee Festival, May 14-15. For those of you weren't able to come, here's a little recap:
Thousands of people joined us in Pahala to celebrate the Ka'u Coffee Festival ho'olaule'a on Saturday. After days of clouds and rain, the skies cleared and the sun shined throughout the morning. In the afternoon, the clouds returned to keep festival-goers cool, while mist enveloped Cloud Rest and the other Ka'u Coffee-growing areas above Pahala.
Skylark emeceed throughout the day of entertainment, coffee tastings and a recipe contest.
Mayor Billy Kenoi made an apperance and congratulated Bull and Jamie Kailiawa for their recent win as one of the top ten coffees in the world. He said "it's a win for all of Ka'u."
Crystal McIntosh was named the overall winner, receiving the Best Taste of Ka'u award, at the recipe contest for Strawberry Mocha Trifle. Get her recipe on our blog.
After Saturday's celebration it was time to get down to business as successful coffee roasters, buyers and cafe chain owers offered advice and education. They stressed the importance of the place and admired the mountains of Ka'u as a good coffee growing location. They also stressed good farm practices, processing and storage and described many techniques to farmers on hand.
