Trinidad Marques, Ka'u Coffee Festival Co-chair

Francis & Trinidad Marques own Ali'i Hawaiian Hula Hands Coffee Company.  Trinidad, Francis, and their 'ohana farm 20 acres of coffee orchards at Cloud Rest Coffee Park.     

 

 

 

 

Lorie Obra, Ka'u Coffee Festival Co-chair 

Lorie Obra owns Rusty's Hawaiian Coffee and farms 12 acres of coffee orchards at Cloud Rest Coffee Park.

 

 

 

 

   

 

 Gloria Camba, Ka'u Coffee Festival Treasurer

Gloria Camba is  coffee farmer, a first-grade school teacher,and owns and runs R&G Mini-Mart & Laundrette in Pahala. Gloria  & her partner Rogelio Aquino retail their coffee under the name Ka'u Royal Coffee. 

 

 

 

 Efren Abellera

Efren & Maile Abellera sell their coffee under the name Kehau's Coffee Farm (named after their youngest daughter). The Abellera's beautiful coffee farm is located at the top of Pear Tree Coffee Park. 

   

 

 

       

 

 Rogelio Aquino

Rogelio Aquino and Gloria Camba farm coffee orchards at both Pear Tree Coffee Park and Cloud Rest Coffee Park. 

 

 

 

Phil & Merle Becker

 

Merle and Phil Becker's coffee has been in Merle's family since 1894.  The plantation is located in the Ninole-Wailau area of Ka'u.  They offer their coffee through Aikane Plantation Coffee Co.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Joe Castaneda

The Castaneda family farm coffee orchards in Moa'ula, at the bottom edge of Cloud Rest Coffee Park.  Their coffee can be bought at the farmer's market at Na'alehu on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

 

 

 

 

 

Leo Castaneda

 The Castaneda family farm coffee orchards in Moa'ula, at the bottom edge of Cloud Rest Coffee Park.  Their coffee can be bought at the farmer's market at Na'alehu on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

  

 

 

 

 
Verna Dacalio

 Verna Dacalio and her 'ohana operate a scenic coffee farm at Pear Tree Coffee Park. She markets her coffee as Pumeahana's Ka'u Coffee.

 

 

 

 

 Melchor Fernandez

 Melchor Fernandez and his family have a coffee farm at Pear Tree Coffee Park.  They work very hard and do all their own coffee picking "in house."

 

 

 

 

 Berta Miranda

 Jose & Berta Miranda, originally from El Salvador, bought the lease to a coffee farm in Cloud Rest Coffee Park in 2005.  They take great joy in their farm and it shows in their coffee.

 

 

 

 

  Leo Noberte

 Leo Noberte recently retired from his job at the Volcano House Hotel and these days devotes himself to farming and promoting Ka'u coffee.

 

 

 

 

 Ricardo Sambajon

 Ricardo Sambajon produces a quality Ka'u coffee from his acreage at Moa'ula.  He quietly contributes to making Ka'u coffee one of the best coffees in the world.

 

 

 

 

 

William Tabios

William and Grace Tabios' run a seven acre coffee orchard at Pear Tree Park and the Will & Grace Variety Store in Na'alehu. Their Rising Sun Ka'u Coffee is renown for its consistent high quality.
